  • Dr. Friesen works with a team of medical and dental providers alongside Living Waters & Adopt-a-Child.

  • High in the mountains survival is difficult and poverty stricken
  • A great majority of men work at the coast for 6 months of the year to help provide for their families, leaving the women alone to farm and care for the children
  • Over 800 meals are served every day
  • Remote dentistry (no electricity), a lot of tooth extractions due to many infections. Due to a battery powered drill we are now also able to offer simple dental fillings.
  • Zacualpa - Centre of guerrilla activity and bloodshed in the 1980's
  • Many of the local team (doctors, pastors and translators) were once children in the Adopt-A-Child Program
  • Hugo - one of our sponsored kids
  • Blanca with her sisters - another one of our kids
  • Smiling from start to finish, even for the dentist!
  • This year there were 1959 Medical Patients seen and 515 dental patients seen.
